SciDAC Mid-Term Reviews SciDAC program is planning mid-term reviews of all projects Applications and SAPs ~March 2009 CETs and Institutes ~May 2009 Remember: CETs are intended to serve applications/SAPs Apps/SAPs will be reviewed first so that program managers can see how good a job CETs have done

  3. TASCS Preparation Make sure we’re engaged with our applications Are we helping them succeed? If not, what is missing – on our side and theirs? Need to make a special push for key applications Need to make a special push for our own R&D activities

If we can’t meet the needs of a key application in a timely fashion, we need to make sure they know why

  5. Applications Timelines Applications need time to prepare for their reviews (Spring) We need to act now to ensure apps get what they need from us Start defining needs and timelines at this meeting! Coding Camp with key apps at January CCA Forum

TASCS R&D Preparation We committed to certain deliverables Need deliver equivalent value Need to be able to explain if it not what we promised Review deliverables, start thinking about this while we’re working on the applications push Planning session at January CCA Forum R&D push: January through review day

  7. TASCS Needs Your Help! Reviews are important for us Consequences in oversight, funding, future possibilities Need everyone to contribute to insuring success of our key applications R&D plan involves extensive multi-institution interaction A hallmark of the CCA effort that is held up as a model to other groups Focus and Activity leads need to make sure interactions are happening!
