  10. Query Elements Subject: What you are looking for - Patients, Visits, Register Attribute: A distinguishing characteristic of the subject, demographic or clinical Condition: A logical operator like <, >, = Value: A quantity or state of the attribute

  22. Taxonomy Taxonomies are “owned” by their creator. Taxonomies may be used by anyone. Only the creator can modify / delete a taxonomy Tip: For easy recall, use your initials as the first part of the taxonomy name. eg. GRL DM dx codes Retrieve taxonomy, after selecting the attribute, with special character ( [ ) followed by taxonomy name … eg. [GRL MY SERVICE AREA

  30. Search Template A cohort of patients who meet all the criteria of the search. This cohort is stored on disk and is available through Q-Man, FileMan, PGEN and VGEN. Search templates have a limited “shelf-life” Tip: For easy recall, begin the name of Search Templates with your initials. eg.: WBM-PTS W/ HIGH AIC VALUES Search templates are useable by anyone, but only their creator can modify/delete. Recall with special ( [ ) character, followed by template name, at attribute prompt. eg. [WBM-PTS W/ HIGH A1C VAULES
