  3. Introduction Camels are mammals. Camels live in the northern deserts of Africa. They help the people in the northern deserts by carrying stuff on their backs.

  4. Body A camel has a hump on its back. It is large measuring about seven feet. Two inches high at the top of it’s hump.

  5. Where camels live All camels live the Sahara, Arabian deserts and Gobi deserts. They live in Egypt.

  6. Food Camels eat any seeds or desert plants they can find. It only eat plants. It’s favorite food is grass, oats and wheat.

  7. Life cycle A female camel gives birth to one baby calf after a 13 month pregnancy . It drinks milk from its mother for a year. It also eats plants right away.
