Introduction Paper Submission Requirements Conference Registration Form The conference committee invites submissions for a refereed paper track of teaching cases and notes which meet the following requirements: • Reflect case writing techniques for Distance & Continuing Education, Multimedia, Simulations, and other Interactive teaching modes. •Address the case paradigm of teaching and learning. •Comparative research on the evaluation of the effectiveness of the traditional case method as against other interactive techniques in case writing and presentation. The case method can play an important role in solving problems and in teaching problem-solving, as well as in initiating and managing change. Thus this conference provides opportunities for participants to learn more about writing and teaching using the case method and related instructional approaches in a variety of educational settings. Participants will have ample opportunities to meet peers from around with whom they can forge future research collaborations. Case Study Guideline Papers are solicited that ► analyse theory and practice using cases, simulations, videos and related instructional methods for problem- solving, managing change and innovation; ►papers reporting the application of cases in university and professional training programmes in diverse settings; and, ► papers on the evaluation of the case method and its related forms for teaching and learning are encouraged. Case Competition – Call For Cases • In conjunction with the Conference, the organizing committee takes great pleasure in inviting writers to submit original written cases (preferably in an Asian setting) from all disciplines as in business, education, hard and social sciences and others used for training to participate in this Case Competition. • The organizing committee will select three to five winners to receive the following awards: • Prize Money of • • 1st Prize RM4,000 • • 2nd Prize RM3,000 • • 3rd Prize (x3) RM1,000 • • Selected cases to be published in any of CWAM’s publications or GSM’s Asian Journal of Case research • • Certificates of participation Submission Dates: Abstract Submissions: 30th July 2011 Abstract Acceptance: 30th August 2011 Full Papers Submission: 30th September 2011
