  1. Understanding the Basics of Laser Treatment in the Most Apt Way The skin is considered as the most important part of the human body which requires special care. To get back the lost charm of the skin the modern technology has come up with laser therapy. Laser or Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation is a device that produces an intense beam of light. Stimulated, spontaneous emission and stimulated absorption may occur in laser medium. The Laser Safety Officer Policies provides informationon occupational exposure to laser light, provides information on how to do laser safety calculations, classify lasers for safety, and laser hazard control measures, measurements and recommendations for Laser Safety Officers in various types of laser services. Like any other medical procedure, the laser treatment also involves some risks which can be avoided easily by knowing about the policies. Today, Laser in Dermatology Treatment has been accepted widely and is a new concept. One should ideally speak to the doctor before selecting the procedure and also ask if the laser treatment is safe for a particular skin type. One should avoid tanning and sunbathing for at least a month before and after the procedure. It is essential to keep the skin constantly hydrated. The Types of Lasers That Are Used in Dermatology Are Listed Below: Carbon Dioxide (C02) Laser Copper Vapor Lasers Holmium: Yag Laser Q-Switched Ruby Laser Neodymium :Yag Laser Argon Ion Laser Excimer Lasers In the recent years, the uses of laser in dermatology have increased and are based largely on better understanding and the alterations applied to different lasers. To remove acne scars, skin wrinkles, actinic cheilitis, hypertrophic lesions the laser therapy is widely used. Thus, it can be concluded by stating that in today’s time the use of laser has become a regular practice in order to treat the illnesses of the skin.
