Digital X-rays vs. Traditional X-ray Samantha Amey
Project Proposal • My goal would be research and discuss the pros and cons of digital and traditional x-rays. • How they effect the patient • How they effect whom ever may be taking the x-ray • Does one have more advantages then the other?
Whythis topic? • As I myself have had several X-rays over the years and have noticed the change from Traditional film to digital first hand.
Digital • Digital • Can be magnified • Results are instant • Can be viewed with any device with screen • Film • developed • Cannot be magnified • Can be viewed anywhere with light board VS. Film
Digital • Less radiation exposure • comfortable for patient • Better for planet
Traditional Film • 80% more radiation exposure • Lower resolution • 1 copy of image
