In Spirit and Truth Manner of Worship Biblical worship is grounded in Truth Approach God truthfully – Matt. 15:8,9 Rational, conscious thought – 1 Cor. 14:20 Demands preparation on our part Proclamation of God’s Word – John 17:17 Based on Trinity, Christ centered – Jn. 14:6 Worship is submission of our nature to God

In Spirit and Truth Manner of Worship Biblical worship is spiritual in nature Alive – we must first move from death to life in order to worship ; Ephesians 2 Assisted – it comes from the heart generated by the Spirit that dwells in us ; Ephesians 5:18 Active – worship is never passive and will produce service as an outcome

  5. In Spirit and Truth Application Deuteronomy 6:4,5 4"Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!  5"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart (will) and with all your soul (emotions) and with all your might. (mind)

  6. In Spirit and Truth Application Is your worship an act of submission to God? Is worship your life? Is the focus of your worship in Spirit and in Truth?
