  2. It would seem that in the sphere of modern technologies based on silicon, aluminum and glass, wood is no longer trendy. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is estimated that wood has about 30 thousand applications: in construction, mining, energy, the production of furniture, plates, paper, tools and musical instruments, toys, sports equipment and office supplies.

  3. Forests in Poland cover approx. 29.4% of the territory and grow in the area of 91 million ha.The vast majority are state-owned forests.The average age of forest in Poland is 60 years, but there are more and more trees with more than 80 years.

  4. The lake districts in the środkowopolski uplands and the lowlands grow mixed forests full of oaks, beeches, pines, spruces, firs and birches.

  5. The north-east is dominated by coniferous forests such as : pine forests, which cover 55% of the forming bright forests with trees with slender trunks and high crowns.

  6. On the wetlands along the rivers and streams grow alder and riparian forests, alder, birch, poplar and willow ashes.

  7. In the Carpathians and the Sudeten there are plant floors:FoothillsLow montane zone - of deciduous trees and mixedUpper montane zone- coniferous forestsMountain pine Meadows Crags

  8. Wood in Poland is completely renewable natural wealth.Wood resources in Poland are growing year by year, therefore, we are in the fifth place in Europe in the logging.

  9. Poland promotesbalancedeconomy. In our country forestareaincreasesyear by yearStateforestsacquirewood, but at the same timerenewstands. Everyyear, foresters plant 500 mln newtreeswhichisaverage of 57 thousand per hour.

  11. There are 375 thousand Polish people employed in the forests, and the forest sector makes 2% of Polish GDP.

  12. March 21 is the International Day of Forests established by the National Assembly of the UN.FORESTS ARE lungs of the Earth, it is the SOURCE life-giving OXYGEN, PROVIDES FOOD, GIVE WORK –TO food, gives work to people, it is OUR COMMON Good so we need to take care of them!
