Exploring History at the Geffrye Museum: Our Class Trip

On February 7, 2013, we embarked on an exciting trip to the Geffrye Museum. We explored Victorian and Edwardian rooms, learning about the evolution of light sources from candlelight to gasolier and electric lights. We participated in the story of Albert, the Edwardian Mouse, and even tried our hand at traditional washing methods! Comparing older rooms with a 1990s room, we drew pictures and had our classmates guess their origins. It was an enriching and enjoyable experience that brought history to life!
