Fall Trash Hike & Picnic at Lake McMurtry: A Day of Nature & Clean-Up Fun

Join us on a beautiful fall day for a trash hike and picnic at Lake McMurtry. Our SES group is working hard to clean up campsites, with our faculty advisor and newest member leading the way. Who's working harder, the ladies or gentlemen? Quote of the day: "Bud Light seems to be the litterbug’s beer of choice." Highlights include grappling garbage, an impromptu lecture on prickly pear cactus, and a ceremonial meat (and veggie) stick burning. After a brisk morning, we all enjoy a relaxing picnic in nature.

  9. It was a brisk morning and by noon-time everyone was ready for lunch

  10. Ilda tends the ceremonial burning of the meat (and veggie) sticks
