  1. Robinwood Wednesday 3rd April – Friday 5th April 2019.

  2. Background information • Dobroyd Castle is a 19th century mansion • The journey will take approximately 1-1 1/2 hours. • The 4 people travelling with the group are: Miss Mills, Mr Edmundson Mr Tarry and Mr Taylor.

  3. Equipment • Please look closely at the kit list provided. • The clothes will come back washed.It is essential that all items of clothing are clearly labelled. • Children must be able to carry their own luggage bags from the minibus to their room. Luggage tag must be attached. • No electrical equipment or mobile phones. • No Money. • Any medication must be handed to Miss Mills in a clearly marked envelope/box before 9am on the day of departure with clear instructions. A permission form will also need to be completed for us to administer medication.

  4. Suggested clothing list • 1 coat (waterproof) • 1 warm hat • 1 set of nightwear • 1 bag of toiletries • Suncream/insect repellent/ lip balm. • Gloves • 3 T-shirts • 3 jumpers or long sleeved tops • 3 pairs of trousers • 1 pair of shorts • 6 sets of underwear • 6 pairs of socks • 1 pair trainers [indoor use] • 1 pair outdoor shoes/boots • 2 towels

  5. Bedrooms • The children will be sleeping in dormitories. • Girls and boys dormitories are separate and staff will sleep in adjacent rooms.

  7. Activities • All of the activities are run by the on site qualified experts, who will be present throughout the activities. • All staff are first aid trained and are trained in all safety procedures. • Giant Swing • Piranha Pool • Caving • Canoeing • Raft Building • Night Line • Trapeze • Crate Challenge • Climbing • Zip Wire • Archery • Quest • Challenge Course • Team Challenges

  8. Activity Groups • The children will be split into 3 activity groups. Each group will be accompanied by a member of Elmridge staff and a Robin Wood group leader. • They will do all of the activities within these groups, except the team challenge. • We ask the children to attempt all of the activities, but we will NOT force them.

  9. Food • The children’s food requirements will be fully catered for. • Breakfast is a self service buffet, with a range of cereals, toast, yoghurts and full English breakfast available. • Lunch will be a packed lunch consisting of a sandwich, crisps and a piece of fruit. • Evening meals consist of hot food with vegetarian choices available.

  10. Phoning home? • The children will not be able to phone home as this often creates difficulties with children feeling homesick. • We will phone upon our arrival and then departure to let Mrs Matthews know our estimated time of arrival at school. • We will update our Twitter page.

  11. Problems? • If you need to contact us while we are away due to a serious problem then please contact Mrs Matthews at school. She will then contact Miss Mills. • In an emergency, we will contact parents immediately.

  12. Final payment is due by Friday 8th March. • Personal information forms are required as soon as possible. • If we are asked to administer medicine, a permission form must be filled in before the trip.
