  2. Upcoming Events • Don’t forget we have an ongoing food can drive to assist battered women at the Cornerstone Shelter. • Person who brings in the most canned goods receives a 25 dollar gift card for Target.

  3. Good Knight • March 9th, 2012 at 6pm • Volunteers be there by 3pm please be on time

  4. Bake Sale #2 • Our next bake sale will be Thursday, March 15th, 2012 • It is St. Patrick’s Day themed-LOTS OF GREEN! • If you did not bake for the Valentine’s Day bake sale, you only have this bake sale and the Easter Bake sale left for your REQUIREMENT

  5. Shamrock Shuffle • For those of you who intend on volunteering for this event, sign up online (Jaimie sent out an email for this through the listserv) • Bring your UPASS! • Early in the AM (5AM) • Sunday, March 25th, 2012 • Sign up online by March 19th (link is posted on the website and Facebook group)

  6. Meetings • April 2nd, 2012 and April 16th, 2012 • 4:30pm-5:30pm • Guest Speakers from UIC nursing and UIC Physical Therapy, Midwestern University, Northwestern University, Rosalind Franklin University will be taking about the Physical and Occupational Therapy programs, including more information about what you can do with a degree in PT/OT/Nutrition, etc. • Please be aware that we need a head count for these events/meetings because they will be bringing giveaways and handouts

  7. Bake sale #3 • Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

March of Dimes • Be a trooper and pull out your good running/walking shoes for the March of Dimes on April 29th 3.2 k walk at Grant Park at 7:30 AM This walk helps: • support healthier babies • raise awareness • help bring an end to premature birth Register link: http://www.marchforbabies.org/team/t1775965

ELECTIONS! • Interested in gaining leadership qualities? • Become a part of MAPHS’s E-Board! • Looks good on your resume • Positions available: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Webmaster, PRO, Sectretary, Liason, Volunteer coordinators • A list of the positions and their description will be posted on the website and Facebook group • Elections will be held April 2nd and April 16th! If this is your first semester in MAPHS, no worries! Because you’re eligible to run for any position!
