  1. My Polygon Book By: Name

  2. Polygon • An enclosed shape with 3 or more straight sides.

  3. Triangle • Any 3-sided polygon • Equilateral, isosceles, scalene, right-angle

  4. Equilateral Triangle • All 3 sides are equal lengths. Vertices Sides

  5. Isosceles Triangle • 2 sides are equal length and the 3rd side is different. Vertices Sides

  6. Scalene Triangle • All 3 sides are different lengths. Vertices Sides

  7. Right Angle Triangle • One angle forms a right angle—90 degrees. Vertices Sides

  8. Quadrangle • Any 4-sided polygon • Square, rectangle, parallelogram, rhombus, trapezoid • There are 2 sets of parallels on each quadrangle except a trapezoid (only has 1 set)

  9. Square • All 4 sides are equal lengths. There are 2 sets of parallels. They have 90 degree angles. Vertices Sides

  10. Rectangle • 2 short and 2 long sides of equal lengths. There are 2 sets of parallels. They have 90 degree angles. Vertices Sides

  11. Parallelogram • 2 short and 2 long sides of equal lengths. There are 2 sets of parallels. They do not have a 90 degree angle. Vertices Sides

  12. Rhombus • All 4 sides are equal lengths. There are 2 sets of parallels. They do not have a 90 degree angle. Vertices Sides

  13. Trapezoid • 4 sides of different lengths. There is 1 set of parallels. Vertices Sides
