Internship Objectives • Increase awareness and excitement for UTSA athletics on campus and around the community. • Execute promotions for basketball, baseball and softball games. • Develop in game promotions and give-aways to get fan involvement.
Internship Objectives Cont. • Advertise for games on campus and around the community. • Direct selected community involvement projects. • Work with a committee on a re-branding campaign.
Daily Activities • Change signs and fliers around campus for advertising. • Develop new and improved ideas for all sporting events. • Updated web pages, including facebook, myspace, UTSA.com with upcoming events.
Daily Activities Cont. • Organized trips for away games for fans to attend. • Work with other UTSA staff on projects including the directors cup, the senior banquet, and a resume book. • Helped prepare for the NCAA Regional Tournament.
Project Summary • We developed a marketing plan for the athletic department at UTSA. This includes plans for the marketing and advertising of sporting events on and off campus. • Currently they do not have anything of this sort and have no way of keeping track of what they do from year to year.
Project Summary Cont. • This including getting all contact information for every outlet of advertising we use including t.v., internet, and radio. • We also included detailed instructions and information on all in-game and pre-game promotions, purchasing contacts and product placement.
