MAXED-OUT FAMILIES • On June 27th PHA’s were sent a file with the list of families that have or will reach the Maximum FEMA assistance Benefits under the FEMA DAP program before August 1st 2008. • PHA’s who received the files should outreach to the families immediately so that they could start assisting the family under DHAP on July 1st 2008. • Otherwise the family will be unassisted for the month of July.

  3. BRIDGE PAYMENTS • No Bridge Payments will be requested for the month of June 2008 for any families on any Phase. • Phase 2a • Bridge payments for the month of May were requested for Phase 2a Families that were not under a DRSC neither EOP’d. • Phase 2b and 2c • FEMA will pay families up to July 2008 except for the MAXED-OUT families.

  4. PHASE II FAMILIES • Phases 2b and 2c • The PHA’s were sent a file on May 28th 2008 with the list of families to be assisted under Phase 2 (b and c). • FEMA will be paying for these families for the month of June and July. • PHAS has to outreach as soon as possible to these families so that you can assist them under DHAP starting August 1st 2008.

PHASE III FAMILIES • Families under phase 3 are identified in DIS as F3 for the Pre-Disaster Assistance Program field and with a D3 on the New Program Type field. • Please refer to the Phase 3 families SOP’s (PIH 2008-21) as published on the DHAP Web Site. http://www.hud.gov/offices/pih/publications/dhap.cfm

DHAP PHASES • Phase 1 Families • About 30K families received September 2007 • Phase 2a Families • About 8700 families received February 2008 • Phase 2b Families • About 1300 families received March 2008 • Phase 2c Families • About 600 families received April 2008 • Phase 3 Families • About 30K families received March 2008 of which FEMA expect that only 8200 of them will be assisted under DHAP
