Poland is a country inthe Central Europe. • The total area of Poland isabout 313 000 square kilometres. • There live about 38 million people. • Our country borders Germany in the west; Czech Republic and Slovakia in the south; Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania in the east; and the Baltic Sea and Russia (Kaliningrad Oblast) in the north.

  3. Warsaw – capital of Poland Warsaw islocated by the Vistula River. That’sthelargest city in Poland. Warsaw is a center of culture, politics, science and economics. There are seats of the parliament, the President and other central authorities. In Warsaw live about 1 716 000 people.
