Involvement Fair Fall Involvement Fair is September 3, 2009 11:30am-1:30pm Spring Involvement Fair is February 2, 2010 11:30am-1:30pm Opportunity to recruit members to join your organization Every registered organization has an opportunity to reserve a table via Orgsync.com It is your responsibility to bring handouts, flyers, banners, etc.

Fall Leadership Institute Fall Leadership Institute October 3, 2009 9am-5pm A day-long leadership institute in which student organizations and their leaders can establish themselves with foundational leadership skills. Every organization is required to send at least TWO representatives One of these representatives needs to be the president/chief executive officer More information to be sent in the future!

  7. Benefits of Being a Registered Organization Advocacy through SLE Access to resources, support, advising Ways to communicate with other clubs Access to funding through ASUSF Senate and its committees Design, Posting, and Publicity Services through ASUSF Graphics Center Use of campus facilities

ASUSF Senate Expectations and Requirements To be eligible for ASUSF Senate benefits including funding and advocacy, student organizations are expected to attend/complete: Fall and Spring Summit (one per semester) Club Presidents Council (one per semester) Funded Account Orientation (for funded accounts only) Community Action Initiative

Expectations and Requirements All members of your organization must remain in good academic and judicial standing Groups must participate in the following: Club Orientation Fall Leadership Institute Regular Communication with SLE Culturally Focused Clubs Council (for student orgs w/ cultural and international focus) Greek Council (for social fraternities/sororities) Uphold all policies contained in the Fogcutter

  10. Student Organization Resource Center Located in UC 100 Conference Room – book space with front desk assistant Banner Table ASUSF Graphics Center Copy Machine Mailboxes – every organization has one!

Communication Mail Boxes Available to be checked from 10am-5pm Monday- Friday in UC 100 Will receive important information from SLE, ASUSF, and other club/orgs i.e. Newsletter, notification memos for funding, etc. SLE Newsletter and Tidbits All club Presidents and Advisors will receive monthly email Newsletters from Student Leadership and Engagement. Updates, Important Information for Club/Orgs. Tidbits will be sent out weekly (announcements, happenings, updates)

Funding Club Funding Used for internal development of clubs and organizations (Examples: binders for e-board, banners, retreats, etc.) Application approval process through PAT Maximum funding of $400 per semester Applications are accepted once you become a registered club Must apply at least four (4) weeks prior to when funds are required

  13. Funding Superfund (via ASUSF Senate’s Superfund Committee) Used for events open to the USF Campus OR to help with leadership related travel. Cannot be used in conjunction with Club Funding Application-Approval Process towards Grants and Loans Applicants need to apply six weeks in advance!

Funding Club Funding and Superfund Information Packets as well as Fundraising Proposal Forms can be found in UC 100 To apply for Club Funding and Superfund, you must do so through OrgSync. www.orgsync.com Please read the packets carefully to get tips on how to submit a proposal Still stuck?   15. Funding Fundraising ALL fundraising MUST be approved by Gregory Wolcott, Director of SLE Fundraising is anything that raises money or donations of any sort on campus (ie: school supply drive). Fundraising forms must be turned in at least five business days before your event. Please be aware you might need additional approval. Example: Catering Flexi donations: Individual donations over $30 must be approved by Greg and it must be a minimum of $10 donation

  16. Design, Posting, Publicity ASUSF Graphics Center ALL posting can only be done by the Graphics Center Located in UC 100 Free Design Services and Posting They only post Tuesdays and Thursdays

  17. Design, Posting, Publicity Every registered organization is guaranteed $100 in duplicating funds each semester. This can be used at Copy Mill and/or in Copy Cards. You will only receive ONE copy card per semester. These can be re-filled by submitting a re-fill form on Orgsync. Copy Mill forms must be approved and signed by a SLE Staff member or PAT. Bring original poster for approval. Turn in receipt once you are finished.

Use of University Space Event Scheduling Only registered organizations can use Event Scheduling SLE must submit organization contact information to Event Scheduling Organizations are responsible for any rooms they book through Event Scheduling. SLE or ASUSF are not liable for any damage incurred during use

  20. Fee Based Event-Space Presentation Theater: Set-up an appointment with Darren Pierre, Coordinator of Student Organizations, Advising, and Involvement. Memorial Gym: Contact Darren to see if this is the best space for your event.

  22. Culturally Focused Clubs Council All clubs that register as cultural/international organizations must attend Meet twice a month Must send one consistent delegate to the meetings Failure to participate in this council may result in change in club standing with SLE

  23. Greek Council All social fraternities and sororities must participate Failure to do so will result in a change in your standing with SLE Members of Greek Council have specific obligations that they must meet throughout the year i.e. a hazing workshop in the fall Darren Pierre, advisor for Greek Council will contact you with more information in collaboration with the Greek Council President.
