Timeline Series notebooks launched, balancing light weight with battery life. Launched AcerCloud which enables instant access to all files on all devices. Timeline notebooks introduced,free of PVC and BFR material. Presented the Iconia, a dual-screen tablet. International scale Supercomputing contract on Taiwan’s National Center of Computing. New logo introduced complements strategic and conveys the brand philosophy.

Defined “Touch &Type” experience with Aspire R7 featuring the revolutionary Ezel™ hinge. Supplied computing products to run the information system at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Launched the world’s thinnest and lightest Ultrabook with iconic design – Aspire S7, and a full line of Windows 8 consumer devices with Touch input, Extended AcerCloud to top 3 operating systems for easier file sharing on multiple computing devices. Launched B6/V6 series commercial monitors made with post-consumer recycled plastic. Held 5th annual Corporate Social Responsibility Forum to promote sustainable management.
