  1. Welcome to the Valence School learning Walk Expertly guided by Tom and Ryan from Valence Presentation by Sophie & Charlotte from Chevening

  2. Communication can be very difficult for some of the students. This ICT board is one way of talking to each other. The children also have word books.

  3. This is another way of communicating. It is made using Clicker.

  4. The Children have different ways to control wheelchairs. The light shows the direction it will move and the button is used to start and stop it when it is showing the right direction.

  5. The children use switches to control things. This is a toy which has been adapted to use a button switch.

  6. This Playstation controller has been adapted for the children to use too. Children can use a switch each to play a game together.

  7. The children have decorated these chairs for their friends and family in DT.

  8. This is a mosaic of the 50ft long swimming pool. Swimming is one of the students’ favourite activities.

  9. These are pictures of the many exciting school outings.

  10. Valence students also have their very own food technology room. You can raise or lower the cookers & sinks depending on the children's height. There is space for wheelchairs under the surfaces.

  11. Valence have science rooms like ours, but they have more technology so that it becomes easier to use. Valance use ICT a great deal to help with learning.

  12. This poster shows what the children are learning about the human body.

  13. Valence students like displaying their colourful work around the school.

  14. This is a k’nex construction that the children have made. It is over a metre tall!

  15. Valence have made some lovely moving mobiles to decorate their art room.

  16. Here you can see that CD’s can come in handy as brilliant mobiles too.

  18. Valence have many machines to help with art and DT. This is a drill that the children use.

  19. These are twin computer monitors. You can slide things from one screen to the other.

  20. This is another machine in the art room, you can make moulds with the vacuum former.

  21. These boats have been made with the machine. The children put in motors and test the boats in the lake.

  22. We found out how to make Easter egg moulds using the vacuum former.
