  2. Objectives • To identify JMU IT Training’s mission statement • To state the IT200 Training Program course description • To present the findings of this program evaluation • To identify the recommendations made by the evaluator

  3. “Always On” • Mission • “We are committed to maximizing the appropriate use of technology to enable, enhance and maintain the delivery of Information Technology services.” • Course Description • To learn how to use JMU's computing systems to save time and effort. Overview of servers and networked drives. Learn to find JMU's web pages as resources. This workshop is specifically designed for new JMU employees. It provides hands-on experience with passwords, security, and servers

Offers Training Session • Offers Training Sessions in following applications: • Microsoft Office: Access, Word, Powerpoint, Excel • JMU Specific Software: eVa, Oracle Calendar, Webmail • Student Administration System • Human Resource • Finance Systems • 3 types: Mandatory, Recommended, Optional

  14. Recommendations • To keep the same training program, but keep distributing the survey after the course to gather more data.

  15. Conclusion • The training program measured what it was supposed to measure. • There is no conclusive evidence to make any changes at the moment
