CLC 12What is it & Why? • Career-Life Connections will pick up from where you left off in CLE10 career journey • Continue the ongoing reflection of your personal interests and strengths and where they overlap with emerging career-life opportunities • Sense of purpose can occur where these three qualities overlap, offering possible career-life directions that are both personally meaningful and viable. • CLC 12 is worth 4 credits and is required for graduation • Mark will be reported for this course

  3. CLC12When Will You Be Doing It? CLC12 Class (& Grad Meetings): Wed. tutorial block every 2nd Wed. • Attendance mandatory/important info. ( so don’t plan anything else) • 1st meeting: Sept. 25 in Theatre • Oct. 9, Oct. 23, Nov. 6, Nov. 20 & Dec. 4

CLC12Module 1: Personal Development Discover and explore aspects of your personal development as a life-long learner and as a member of society: • Core Competencies • Your Personal Wellness  • Being a life-long learner  • Your Footprint in this world  • Developing a Growth Mindset for your future

  6. CLC12Module 2: Connections to Community Explore career options through the lens of connecting with the people around you: • Explore employment avenues • Develop a network • References • Proof of Career Life Experiences (30 hours) • Work Experience or Community service

  7. CLC12Module 3: Creating Your Career Life Plan Develop a plan for employment/career plan: (started a lot of this in CLE10) • Employability Skills • Resume & Cover Letters • Focus Area and Career Clusters • Career Pathways • Goal Setting & Planning • Budget
