  1. The Essence and Purpose of Successful Organizing Kelly Gneiting for the (notice page number) Click anywhere on screen to Move Forward By Slide

  2. The Goal of the ANY organization is to ORGANIZE. Many have a negative image of organizing. For example, a great many people are opposed to organized religion, and believe pastors and church attendees are hypocrites. Others within an organization are critical, having an alternate vision of what the organization should become or develop into.

  3. Here (right) you see the outline for a picture within the dashed lines, which represents a godly organization. You know how YOU feel the picture should look like, but each person in the organization has a unique perception, which may or may not be accurate. As you communicate, and invite the Spirit of the Lord to be with you, a picture will emerge to all. But this will take time.

  4. For a correct picture to emerge requires temperance from all. People are passionate, and have a hard time letting go of their previously conceived notions. The beauty of the “picture” is that MANY MANY people create it, and each person is only responsible for creating a portion of the overall picture; kind of like the parable of the blind men and the elephant…

  5. If members of an organization are not careful, they will end up like the blind men in the story: • “To one man was presented the head of the elephant, to another its ears, to another a tusk, to another the trunk, the foot, back, tail, and tuft of the tail, saying to each one that that was the elephant. • “When the blind men had felt the elephant, the raja went to each of them and said to each, 'Well, blind man, have you seen the elephant? Tell me, what sort of thing is an elephant?' • “Thereupon the men who were presented with the head answered, 'Sire, an elephant is like a pot.' And the men who had observed the ear replied, 'An elephant is like a winnowing basket.' Those who had been presented with a tusk said it was a ploughshare. Those who knew only the trunk said it was a plough; others said the body was a grainery; the foot, a pillar; the back, a mortar; the tail, a pestle, the tuft of the tail, a brush.

  6. “Then they began to quarrel, shouting, 'Yes it is!' 'No, it is not!' 'An elephant is not that!' 'Yes, it's like that!' and so on, till they came to blows over the matter. • “Just so are these preachers and scholars holding various views blind and unseeing... In their ignorance they are by nature quarrelsome, wrangling, and disputatious, each maintaining reality is thus and thus.” • Then the Exalted One rendered this meaning by uttering this verse of uplift, • O how they cling and wrangle, some who claim • For preacher and monk the honored name! • For, quarreling, each to his view they cling. • Such folk see only one side of a thing.

  7. If a member of a godly organization is faithful and diligent to that which they are responsible for, acting in accordance with the Holy Spirit, that person will create a personalized masterpiece. However, that personalized masterpiece is only a part of the overall, overarching image which God, in his omniscience, sees clearly in it’s entirety.

  8. Suppose that Jared Beck and Will Christensen are the only ones who are faithful to their responsibilities in an organization. The picture might look something like this: Can you tell what this picture is?

  9. Now let’s add David Chiodo and Rachel Nolan. Can you see more of the picture? You may be thinking, “I’ll bet it’s something from outer space. I can see stars.” However, do you see a masterpiece yet?

  10. Does that mean that efforts of Jared, Will, David and Rachel are useless? Although the masterpiece is not in full view, these four individuals have the peace and comfort of knowing that they did their part, and eventually others will follow suit. That said, the masterpiece remains unconstructed, leaving these 4 patriots only a hollow satisfaction in their labors.

  11. Each individual has their own “masterpiece” to contribute. If this masterpiece is the responsibility of KellyGneiting, and Kelly doesn’t fulfill his responsibility, this masterpiece will still be constructed, but by somebody else, and Kelly will lose the reward of living up to his divinely inspired destiny– a responsibility given and ordained to him by God.

  12. As we are taught, God is able to do His own work. “For it is God which worketh in you, both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:13) Some consider it an honor to be someone God “worketh in.” Others throw their arms in the air and say, “God will work the masterpiece, not me!” And a third group want their own agenda, not God’s.

  13. As you and others perform your responsibility in, “whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men (worldly concerns); Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.” (Col 3:23-24) This means that in all you do, have an eye single to the glory of God, and your “whole body shall be full of light…” (Matt 6:22) and if this is so, your work will be “in the strength of the Lord” (Psalms 71:16) and you will not fail.

  14. When each individual in an organization does this, stand-alone masterpieces fall into place in exactly the right position, creating the masterpiece that God creates—using you and others as mere instruments in His hands.

  16. This is the Masterpiece that God sees. But look again. Do you see another image in this picture?

  17. This is a Cone Nebula. It lies in the constellation of Monoceros. It was discovered by William Herschel on December 26, 1785 (an ironic year). It is 2,7000 light-years away from earth, and from top to bottom spans about 30 light years.

  18. This nebula is also referred to as the Jesus Christ Nebula because of its resemblance to Jesus with his hands in a prayer position. (Wikipedia) Do you see it now? This is the image God has destined for you, and a river of patriots, to construct. Will you be faithful in your responsibilities and help God construct this image?

  19. Thank You.
