Welcome and Introductions • Welcome old friends and new • Institute background • Staff for the day • Institute participants – who we are • States, school districts (traditional and “virtual”), universities, consortia, educational organizations, etc. • States represented include: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington DC, W. Virginia, Wisconsin • Thanks to SC for hosting the Institute!

Today’s Plan • GOALS • Meet, share and network with other OPD facilitators and designers • Discuss key issues in implementing OPD programs • Celebrate successes and address challenges • Expand opportunities for OPD collaboration between our schools, states, and organizations • Look ahead to where OPD is going • And…have fun! • FORMAT • Keynote – update… • State/District Implementation – 2 rounds/ Q’s and A’s at the end • Roundtables – 2 rounds/ 6 choices • Update on online initiatives • Networking – breaks, lunch, reception, etc. • Where do we go from here?
