Born in 1883,Mademoiselle Chanel was famous for the legendary little black dress, suits and jackets, pearl necklaces, and tanned skin. Chanel became known as “Coco” when she was a singer in cafes between 1905 and 1908. Her fashion career began in 1908 when she began designing hats. By 1916 she opened first haute couture salon in Biarritz.
