Marco legal • Artículo 30 del Código Electoral: El Registro Electoral suspenderá la modificación de residencia de ciudadano un año antes de la fecha de las elecciones: • Decreto Legislativo 842 del 13/10/05: La ejecución del sistema de voto residencial para los eventos electorales posteriores al año 2006, se incrementará de forma gradual y progresiva en el resto de municipios del país, de conformidad a la evaluación de actividades que realice el Tribunal Supremo Electoral en cada evento electoral, y a las disponibilidades presupuestarias.
