Eye Safety Goggles: protect eyes.
Eye Wash Station Eye Wash Station: used to rinse eyes. Rinse eyes for 15 minutes.

Fire Safety Wear goggles Do not touch! Use Tongs when heating glass beakers. Be careful !
Fire Extinguisher: puts out fires. Never use on people. Spray base of fire.
Fire Blanket: Used to cover a spill. Used to help smother a small flame , if a fire extinguisher cannot be used.
People and Fire Stop, drop, and roll. Do not use fire extinguisher!
Glass Safety Glass can break! Never pick up broken glass with hands. Put broken glass in glass breakage container only! Never put broken glass in the trash can.
Sharp Object Safety: Object may cause cut or puncture wound. Cut away from self and others
Chemical Safety Wear goggles !! Wear gloves !! Do not smell chemicals !! Do not taste chemicals !! Wash hands after using chemicals !!
Chemical Spills Use an acid to cover a base spill. Use a base to cover an acid spill. Kitty Litter Never clean up or handle chemicals without safety goggles and gloves.
Electrical Safety Never handle electrical plugs around water!! Pull plug to remove from wall; do not pull on cord. Turn off all equipment when you are done.
Animal Safety Handle live animals with care. Do not mistreat animals! Wash hands after handling !!
First Aid Safety Inform teacher immediately. Call nurse. Never touch blood !!
Lab Rules • Listen to teacher instructions first! • Do not play in lab at any time. • Follow all safety rules. • Handle all equipment carefully. If you break it, you buy it. • Clean your lab table and equipment when you are done. • Store lab equipment in its correct place. All hot equipment should be unplugged and set on a counter to cool. • Only use equipment as instructed!! • Wear appropriate clothing to lab. No sandals!! Tie hair back. No baggy sleeves. • Tell teacher immediately when there is an accident or misbehavior. • Wash your hands after every lab!!
