Interpreting and Parameterizing Extremely Red COOL Dwarfs for Astrophysics Research

IPERCOOL project focuses on interpreting data, testing models, and searching for binaries among extremely red COOL dwarfs. Parameters derived from observations will be used to study the Galaxy's initial mass function. Collaboration with various observatories and organizations for data exchange and analysis. Funding received from EU FP7 Staff Exchange.

EU FP7 Staff Exchange • Politicians - provide the money • Want exchanges don’t care about the science • Scientists - judge the proposals • Want science don’t care about the exchanges • Adminstrators (REA) – adminstrate • Don’t particularly care about the science or the exchanges, just interprete the will of the politicians • Everyone is happy if we spend the money UNTIL THE NEXT PROPOSAL THE ONLY PEOPLE WE DEAL WITH ARE ADMINISTRATORS …. I THINK
