How to Ferment Vanilla • Wait about 5-6 ,months before you take Vanilla beans off the plant. • After you take them off the plant you need to grade them by their length. • Then you need to clean the beans. • Next you must put the beans in hot water according to the grade they were given. • Then they get put into a bamboo box at 50C for 38 hours so the color will come out and start imparting aroma. • That means that yeast fermentation is producing alcohol.

  3. Bacteria: Bacillus The bacteria that is known for being the process of fermentation is Bacillus. It is also an aerobic bacteria.(Works in the presence of oxygen.)
