  5. Academics • Average Sorority GPA: 4.31/5.0 • In the past 3 years, 2 MIT sorority women were selected as Rhodes Scholars • Resources • Major mentors • Upperclassmen tutors • Quiet study areas • Review sessions

  6. Service • An MIT Sorority Woman: • started a stroke rehabilitation clinic in Malaysia • raises seeing-eye dogs • volunteers every summer at a camp for children with Muscular Dystrophy • created a magazine about international development • planned the largest student-led Special Olympics event

  7. Service • In 2009, MIT sororities raised more than $20,000 for philanthropy • Service Projects • Volunteering at the Cambridge Community Center • Cleaning up the Esplanade • The Giving Tree

  8. Leadership MIT sorority women are leaders in more than 125 student groups.

  9. Leadership • Holding leadership positions • Networking with Alumni • All of these women are members of MIT sororities: • More than 12 varsity sports team captains • Newly-elected Vice President of the Undergraduate Association • One of Glamour magazine's Top 10 College Women of 2009

  10. Fun • An MIT Sorority Woman: • ate 45 slices of pizza to win a pizza eating contest • knows all the perfect squares up to 60*60 • straddled the Mid-Atlantic Ridge • designed a dress that was sold at H&M
