  5. A hurting people: 1. BETRAYAL 2. DISCRIMINATION 3. EVIL PLOTS 4. JOB FRUSTRATION 5. LOSS OF FREEDOM 6. DISAPOINTMENT 7. PHYSICAL PAIN 8. PERSECUTION 9. FEAR 10. CHILDLESSNESS 11. BEREAVEMENT 12. ABANDONMENT

  6. Why did this happen? • Had they disobeyed God? • Had God abandoned them? • Had they missed the call of God? No! No! No!

  7. How should we respond when we are hurting? • Recognise that it is a common experience for God’s people to suffer • Remember that a day of deliverance is coming • Come before God in persistent, honest prayer • Put your trust in the character of God
