  1. What is Swagboard and How Does it Works?

  2. Have you just gotten yourself a swag board or about to get oneand you are interested in knowing how it works? Others may just want to understand the science behind how a drift board works. In this presentation, we would tell you just what you need to know about the scooter drift.

  3. If you ride the skateboard regularly, then riding the swag board should be a walk in the park. Just Like a Skateboard With this board, you don’t have to do any work to move yourself forward; that is the work of the motor. As you stand on the two wheeled self balancing electric scooter and tilt your feet, the board interprets your movement to determine the speed and direction you want.

  4. Moving around on a drift board is not as hard as it looks. Even newcomers only fumble a little bit before they get the hang of it. While those that have experience riding a skate or a unicycle seem to catch the drift almost immediately.

  5. Scooter drifts generally are installed with proprietary software that controls its movement with the aid of tilt and gyroscopic sensors. The Science Behind Riding the Swag Board These sensors are balancing devises that are sensitive to any move you make while on the swag board. The gyroscopic sensors consist of a spinning disc placed on spinning gimbals which provide directional stability to the disc.

  6. How to Ride Your Board? Both the tilt and gyroscopic sensors helps to navigate the board and maintain its orientation. When tilt the board by leaning forward, the sensors interpret it to mean you want to start moving or move faster if you are already in motion.

  7. Conversely, whenever you want to slow down or stop, you only have to lean backward and the tilt sensor will pass on the order. Also note that the degree of acceleration or deceleration you will get is directly proportional to how much you tilt the board.

  8. Now you know the basics, you should be able to balance yourself on your new scooter drift in no time. Check out the many different options of self balancing devices here to see what you like.
