  2. Many among us prefer wearing prescription contact lenses than glasses. The obvious reasons being cosmetic appeal and confidence that comes with wearing contacts rather than glasses. However, taking care of the contacts and keeping them clean plays a vital role in maintaining a healthy vision and prolonging the lifetime of your lenses.

  3. Here are a few tips that you can follow for maintaining your contacts.

  4. Before putting the contacts into your eyes, always disinfect them. Also, you need to disinfect them when taking them off as well.

  5. Do not wear your contacts while swimming, taking a bath or any other activity that involves getting water in your eyes.

  6. Do not wash your lenses with tap water.

  7. Before handling your lenses, wash your hands with water and soap.

  8. Replace the solution in your lens case after a week.

  9. Replace lens case after every 3 months.

  10. Wash your lens case with your lens solution every week or so.
