  1. FOURTH SYMPOSIUM ON LARGE TPCs FOR LOW ENERGY RARE EVENT DETECTION Institut Henri Poincaré, 11 rue Pierre et Marie Curie Hermite auditorium
PARIS 5ème, FranceDecember 18-19, 2008 The purpose of the meeting is an extensive discussion of present and future projects using a large TPC for low energy, low background detection of rare events (low-energy neutrinos, double beta decay, dark matter, solar axions). There is an increasing number of experiments using or planning to use very large gaseous or liquid TPCs.…
A common feature of the detection scheme will be the measurement of the energy and direction of low energy recoils. The use of a new generation of gaseous micropattern detectors seems to be a promising way to reach this goal.
Proceedings will be published in the open access Journal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS) which is published by the Institute of Physics Publishing in the UK. Upon publication the proceedings will be free to download. The conference dinner will be held tonight in a typical parisian 'bistrot' near the conference place: Restaurant Perraudin, 157 rue Saint Jacques, Paris 5ème. Payment (50 euro each in cash) must be paid this morning.  18-12-2008, I. Giomataris
