APAN-KR-CNU Status –00/05/03 • Campus Routing • PC Router Setup • Gated 3.6 on FreeBSD 3.4 • Directions • 85 subnetwork all routing • Only APAN related Labs routing • ChungNam Univ. • 모든 학내 트래픽을 선도망으로 라우팅 • 전산소에서 스위치와 라우터를 직접 연결 • Problem • 다른 라우터와 peering 하기 위해 gated 4.0 upgrade • Gated 4.0 -> commercial product • Price? • ATM NIC

APAN-KR-CNU Status –00/05/03 • Qbone • 현재 KT 최승모씨를 중심으로 Working Group 재정비 • Qbone Configuration 진행중 • Qbone에 연결하려면 • DiffServ 모듈 라우터 필요 • 별도의 address, tunneling, PVC 필요 • 라우터 • UCLA diffserv implementation 0.2.2 • Gated 3.6(upgrade) • FreeBSD 3.4 • ATM NIC, Ethernet NIC 1개씩 필요 • Address, Tunneling • KT 최승모씨가 다음주 중에 할당 • PVC • KT 이재화씨와 contact 필요

APAN-KR-CNU Status –00/05/03 • 6bone • 교육망과 선도시험망 v6 address를 각각 ETRI와 KT로부터 획득 • 로컬 테스트 마무리 • IPv6 Router: Handeum • Kame on FreeBSD3.4 • V4 & v6 request 모두 처리 • Application: ping telnet ftp 등등.. • IPv6 Host: Zeany • Kernel compiling, application setup On Linux • Gated 필요 • Tunneling: Not yet (ETRI 신명기씨) • KOREN에선 실제 Native 6Bone을 구성할 수 있음 • No Tunneling • ATM Switch에 별도의 port, PVC가 있어야 함

  8. APAN-KR-CNU Status –00/05/03 • Mbone • Tyranno에서 Setup • Solaris 2.5 Patch & Mbone Tools Install • Mbone tools • SDR • VAT • VIC • Tunneling을 교육망 관리자에게 요구(but Not yet) • KOREN은 Mbone이 활발하게 되고 있으므로 KOREN에 연결되기만 하면 바로 가능 • 현재 Tyranno reinstall로 인해 재설치해야 함

  9. APAN-KR-CNU Status –00/05/03 • MPLS • 서울 대전 GigaPoP에 설치된 ACE 64 교환기의 S/W를 MPLS가 가능한 S/W로 업그레이드 • 아직 MPLS에 대한 WG 없음 • 구체적인 계획은 없고 실험할 수 있도록 지원 가능 • 필요 장비 • ATM Switch embedding MPLS module • ATM NIC • PC LSRs (LDP implementation on Linux 2.2.3)
