Learn how to obtain certification and maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety program. Take relevant courses, conduct internal and external audits, and receive annual maintenance audits and prevention rebates. Recertification is required every three years.   1. Obtaining Certification

  2. Register How do I register into the program? • Contact RPM to obtain registration form • Complete all required fields on form • Email registration form to RPM

  3. Attend Certification training What courses do we need to take and who attends them? • Safety and Health Leadership • Principles of Safety and Health Management Systems • Safety and Health Committee or Safety and Health Representative • Internal Auditor

  4. Build Program • Develop and implement your occupational health and safety program. • RPM offers training and advisory services to assist companies in the development of their programs

  5. Internal/ Self Audit • Company’s Internal Auditor submits a completed internal audit to RPM, • RPM will review and provide any recommendations for improvement

  6. External Audit • Contact RPM to arrange for an independent auditor • Independent Auditor will conduct audit • Once the audit is passed, • RPM notifies SAFE Work MB • Certification is awarded • Audit Action Plan to be submitted to RPM within 3 calendar months

  7. Annual Maintenance Audits • Prior to the first and second anniversary of the audit date, the company provides a Maintenance Audit to RPM for review, • Audit Action Plan to be submitted to RPM within one calendar month of each Maintenance audit

  8. Annual Prevention rebate awarded • 15 per cent of your company assessment premium • 75% of WCB premiums or up to $3000 for small employers • Paid out 1 year after certification date.

  9. Recertification • On the third anniversary, the process starts over • Company submits a completed internal audit to RPM prior to making arrangements for another Independent Audit
