  2. Formatives Unit 5, Word 1 TLW: to determine the Latin and Greek affixes • Formative word: automatic (adjective) • Meaning: auto- self (p) • Complete definition: automatic-working by itself • Sentence: The doors at the airport open automatically, so I don’t have to put down my bags to exit.
