  1. Trueba School shows you: Ourpresentation of Bilbao

The place wherewelive: • Spain is 1,000 km long. • We live in Bilbao(North of Spain, language: Spanish) • Bilbao is a small city surrounded by mountains. • It has 355,731 habitants. • There is a river which splits up the city in two sides. • The most famous place: `The Guggenheim museum´, very visited by tourists. • Our climate is quite bad: It rains a lot and usually it is cold.

  3. Our traditions in Bilbao 1) Our own language :Euskera Origin: It isn´t a Latin language. Nothing to do with English , Spanish… `Hello´ in Euskera is : `Kaixo´ 2) The special dance : `Euskal Dantzak´. Clothes: The dancers wear traditional Basque clothes. 3) Our typical food: `Bacalao al pil-pil´ Appearance: It is a codfish that goes with a yellow sauce.

  4. More traditions: 4) A typical sport: Football Our team: Athletic Club Football pitch : San Mamés. The most famous teams in Spain: Real Madrid and Barcelona. Another sport : Basque pelota Played: Single or in pairs 5) Another tradition:Olentzero. He is like Santa Claus. Where?: In Bilbao and in nearby cities to give us many gifts.

Our school: • It´s in Artxanda, a Basque mountain, less than 300 m high, there is a funicular. • It has 1,000 students • From 2 years to 18 years. • We´ve got a lot of teachers and subjects. • Outside: three playgrounds and another one with baskets • Inside: A basketball court and a swimming pool. • We don´t use uniform • We have lunch at school

Something more from our school: • 3 Holiday periods: Christmas: 21st Dec – 9th Jan Easter: 1st April – 16th April Summer:15th June-7th Sept • Breaks: In the morning:10:35-11:00 In the afternoon( including lunch time): 12:40 – 14:00 • Our subjects : Spanish, English, Basque, History , Maths… and some elective subjects ( Art or French…)

  7. Our daily life • Our schedule at school is from 8:40 to 16:00(From Monday to Friday) • We have two days off on weekends and we usually hang out with friends those days. • After school many people go to academies or play sports • During the week we study six subjects each day • Most people go to school and return home in the school bus

  8. Whenwewanttospend a good time: • We enjoy going out with our friends • We like going to the cinema • Many teenagers go to Zubiarte, a very known shopping centre. • Many other adolescents love staying at home playing video games with their friends or with their relatives.

  9. In our free time : • Each person enjoys doing the things that each one wants: • Surfing on internet • Watching TV • Doing sports • Playing on the computer • Playing musical instruments • Meeting our friends • Listening to music • Going to academies of different subjects (English , Maths…)
