GROUP #1 – The Break In (Blue book pp. 802-804; Green book pp. 793-795) Take notes on important details and be ready to answer the following question verbally to the class: Who broke into an office at the Watergate complex in Washington DC in June, 1972 and what influence did this have on the 1972 presidential election? Mention: Democratic National Committee (DNC) , “plumbers”, Committee to Reelect the President (CReeP), the “President’s Men”

GROUP #2: The Investigation (Blue book pp. 804-805; Green book pg. 795) Take notes on important details and be ready to answer the following question verbally to the class: What was the initial reaction to the Watergate break-in and how did the cover up begin to unravel? Mention: 1972 Presidential Campaign, Woodward & Bernstein, Ervin Committee, Nixon Tapes
