There are several different architectural areas of interest and your personal guide will take you on a Panoramic tour through some of these including Georgian and medieval Dublin. See Trinity College, Merrion Square, Dublin Castle, Churches and public squares. DAY 3 POWERSCOURT Powerscourt estate co Wicklow is one of the most beautiful country estates in Ireland. it was originally an important strategic site for the Anglo-Normans who came to Ireland in the 12th century. The house and gardens at Powerscourt are probably the finest in Ireland, both for their design and their dramatic setting at the foot of Great Sugar Loaf Mountain.   6. DAY 3 …After lunch Sightseeing Glendalough Monastic Site Glendalough gets its name from the Irish language. Gleanndálocha literally means the ‘Glen of the two lakes’. Situated right in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains National Park, Glendaloughharbours one of Ireland’s most atmospheric monastic sites. Established by St Kevin in the 6th century, the settlement was attacked time and again by the Vikings, but nevertheless flourished for over 600 years.

Day 3 ROCK OF CASHEL A spectacular group of Medieval buildings set on an outcrop of limestone in the Golden Vale including the 12th century round tower, High Cross and Romanesque Chapel, 13th century Gothic cathedral, 15th century Castle and the restored Hall of the Vicars Choral.  Transfer to Dromoland Castle Dinner at hotel or local Chinese restaurant

DAY 4 After breakfast depart Dromoland Castle for a visit to The Cliffs of Moher & the Burren The Cliffs of Moher’. rise 702 ft above the Atlantic Ocean from Hag's Head to O'Brien's Tower, eight kilometres away; they boast some of Ireland's most spectacular views.   11. Day 5 Galway City Galway city is a small, friendly and culturally rich town. With a large university it is a centre of learning in the west of Ireland. Sitting on waterways including the River Corrib, Lough Corrib, and the Atlantic ocean, Galway has a commercial port and numerous water sports and activities. The city itself sits by the Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) region. The city is bi-lingual and you will hear many people speaking Irish in their daily lives. During the summer season Galway hosts many popular festivals including the Galway Arts Festival and the Galway races.

  12. Day 5 Connemara region Today, there is an opportunity to explore the Connemara region. Connemara is the name given to the most westerly region of County Galway. This area contrasts starkly with the rest of the county in that it is shaped by the mountains, the sea and Lough Corrib. After a relaxing lunch, continue ... Back to Ashford Castle for the evening

Yeats are strongly associated with the county and much of their work was inspired here. W.B. Yeats is buried in Druncliffe, under the shadow of Benbulben. Sligo is also a land famed for its magnificent mythological tales.

Day 7 LOUGH ESKE Lough Eske Castle, located just outside Donegal Town, has a rich history dating back to the 1400's being associated with the O'Donnells, the founding fathers of Donegal, a county in the Northwest region of Ireland.   18. Day 8 THE BUSHMILLS DISTILLERY The County Antrim village of Bushmills has a long and illustrious history of whiskey production. Whiskey making at Bushmills draws on centuries-old distilling history, including the first license to distil whiskey, granted for the county of Antrim in 1608.

  19. Day 8 Titanic Quarter Take a journey through the history of shipbuilding in Belfast, and in particular, the story of the firm which built Titanic, Harland and Wolff. Learn about Titanic itself, from the visionaries who conceived her, to the men who designed and built her, to her ill-fated maiden voyage. . The Titanic's Dock tour takes in Thompson Dock and Pump House where the celebrated ship had its final fit-out.  A must see, The Pump House is one of the few most significant remaining heritage buildings from the Titanic technology era. Day 9 Boyne Valley Megalithic Tombs The Megalithic Passage Tombs atNewgrange, Knowth and Dowthwere constructed over 5,000 years ago (about 3,200 B.C.), making them older than Stonehenge in England and the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. Newgrange was built during the Neolithic or New Stone. It been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Newgrange was built as a place of astrological, spiritual, religious and ceremonial importance. Newgrange is best known for the illumination of its passage and chamber by the winter solstice sun on the shortest days of the year, around December 21, the winter solstice. Along with Knowth and Dowth, Newgrange forms part of the BrunaBoinne visitor experience and access is on a limited availability basis.
