If you do not have an activity for a day you had an excused absence, write the letter “A” on the line provided, otherwise write a “0”. Then add up your scores. Total Points (TP) _____ Actual Total (AT) _____ (20) Notes: • Total Points (TP) is the sum of your warm up scores. To determine your TP, add up the scores for all of your warm ups/written activities. • Actual Total (AT) is the number of warm ups multiplied by four (a perfect score). To determine your AT, count the number of warm ups you were present for and multiply this number by four (the true actual total – perfect attendance). TOTAL SCORE _____/10

Quiz No. 1: Civil War & Recon.SA Question No. 31 Sample Introductions • During the Reconstruction period, African Americans were granted more rights through the passing of legislative acts. • African Americans were given the right to vote and the right to be included as citizens in the U.S. • According to the chart, during the Reconstruction Act of 1867, African Americans were given more rights. • During Reconstruction, many acts or legislation were put into effect, and had a great impact on African Americans and history in general. • Two rights that were given to African Americans were the Thirteenth and Fourteenth Amendments.

Students who finish their quiz before their time is used up may NOT give their extra time to another student. Students may purchase the right to use a pencil for five (5) quiz-taking minutes. Students who are disruptive during any stage of the quiz-taking process will receive a 0% for any infraction there after. Before the quiz can be administered, the following requirements must be fulfilled: All students who do NOT have BROWNEYESMUST, in an orderly fashion (I know this will be hard for many of you): Place all of your materials (textbooks, notebooks, pencils, pens, etc.) neatly along the wall at the back of the classroom. Then, place your chairs neatly along the wall at the front of the classroom. All students with BROWN EYES please remain quietly in your seats while we wait for the “NON-BROWN EYES” (sorry you have to put up with them). Each student will have 20 minutes to take the quiz from the time these directions appear on the board. BROWN-EYED students are allowed to use their notes and textbook. NON-BROWN-EYES are NOT allowed to use their notes and MUST remain standing throughout the entire quiz. Quiz No. 1 Directions Students will take a quiz on Unit 1: Civil War & Reconstruction (Review). During the quiz, students must adhere to the following rules:
