The Calgary Stampede, a vibrant summer event, offers excitement but presents participation challenges for newcomers. Factors like physical disabilities and perceived risks (such as ride malfunctions and safety concerns) can deter attendance. Despite these concerns, many feel comfortable managing the minor risks due to the potential for enjoyment. It's crucial to understand and address these barriers to enhance inclusion for new Canadians, ensuring everyone can partake in the cultural festivities of this iconic event.
