History of Institution DAVIET • DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in 2001 under the aegis of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. • The DAV College Trust and Management Society, is the largest non-governmental educational organization in India managing a chain of more than 750 institutions in India and abroad. • The Management is more than 125 years old and has established a number of Medical Colleges, Polytechnics, Industrial Training Centers, Arts & Science Colleges.

  3. History of Institution DAVIET • DAVIET is the first Engineering Institute of DAV College Trust and Management Society and is an ISO 9001 -2008 certified institute. The Institution’s alumni are making the society and the nation proud by doing quality work in their respective fields and setting higher benchmarks for others to emulate. • The objective behind the establishment of this Institute was not merely the dissemination of knowledge but to provide the necessary skills and mental attitude to face the vagaries of life. There is a sustained endeavor to provide quality education with a difference.

Engg., DAVIET filed a patent (bearing number 2269/del/2012, date of filing 20/07/2012), Title of invention: “Intelligent Induction Hardening Device And Method Thereof” An induction contour hardening machine for various shafts, gears and irregulars shapes includes, a high frequency induction hardening generator and profile measuring sensor. The profile of the work piece is measured by the sensor before the implementation of induction heat. Further the machine consists of a control system that maintains the induction hardening variables. The decision of variables is based upon the fuzzy approach. The induction heating coil and quenchant is fitted on the carrier that moves along the work piece for induction hardening in variable programmed motions decided by the controller in respect to the profile of the work piece.
