The reproductive tract in females consest of : • Ovary, • Uterus, • Uterine Tube • Vagina • clitoris
the Ovary • Are the female gonads • Theovaries lie adjacent to the lateral pelvic wall • Each ovary is oval shaped, measuring. (4 by 2 cm)
function of the ovary • Theovaries are the organs responsible for the production of • the female germ cells, the ova, • and the female sex hormones, estrogen
Blood Supply • arteries • ovarian artery arises from the abdominal aorta • veins • The ovarian vein drains into the inferior vena cava on the right side and into the left renal vein on the left side.
theUterus • The Theuterus is thick-walled muscular organ. • Lies in the midline between the bladder and rectum

The testis • The testis is male sex gland. • It lies in the scrotum suspended by the spermatic cord Mohamed Omer
The epididymis • The epididymis is a firm structure lying posterior to the testis. • It has • Head • body • tail inferiorly Mohamed Omer
The Vas deferens • The Vas deferens is afibromuscular tube • The sperm stored at proximal portion of the vas deferens Mohamed Omer
Accessory Glands • Seminal vesicles: Paired saccular glands posterior to the urinary bladder. • The fluid from seminal glands contains fructose which provides an energy source for the sperm. Mohamed Omer
The Prostate gland • is a firm, dense structure that is located just inferior to the urinary bladder. Mohamed Omer
