  4. Multiply the following, applying the rules: ++ = + -- = + -+= - +-= - -+= - 1. -5 x 7 5 x 7 = 35 Answer:-35 -- = + 9 x 4 = 36 2. -9 x -4 Answer:36 +-= - 6 x 3 = 18 3. 6 x -3 Answer:-18

  6. Divide the following, applying the rules: ++ = + -- = + -+= - +-= - - += - 1. -35  7 35  7 = 5 Answer:-5 -- = + 32  4 = 8 2. -32  -4 Answer:8 +-= - 6  3 = 2 3. 6  -3 Answer:-2
