Our Summer News! • Please welcome LaTiffany Davis to the Access Services Team as Morning Circulation Supervisor and PASCAL Delivers • Michelle moved into a brand new home and • Kelly moved on to continue her education here at CCU • Matt has been preparing for his journey to Wales • Carlene went on a cruise and to TN • Lee has been preparing for Grad School at USC and

  4. Welcome Charleigh Hughes to Kimbel Library! • Yep, Jennifer became the mommy of our newest Access Services Team member.

  5. Kimbel Library goes 24/5 • We are looking forward to working with our 3 new staff members who will allow continuous customer service to our patrons • Our hours will be as follows: Sunday – Thursday 8am – 8am Friday 8 – 5 Saturday 10 - 6

Laptops Beginning last February ---Laptops were no longer checked out at the Circulation Desk All student laptops will be checked out from the Laptop Room located on the second floor of the library. Some students will be assigned or have been assigned to work in the Laptop Room. These students will be the only ones working the laptop room. They have been trained specifically for that reason! .

  7. Cash Register info…………… • If you do not have initials you may not collect fines. • If you collect fines – follow through with the procedure. No one else should write your initials or anything having to do with what you are doing. • Please remember no $20 bills!! • Replacement Costs are to be handled by a supervisor ONLY • We accept checks for the EXACT amount ONLY. Patrons MUST have a current Drivers License. See next page for example! • Do not mark through an over ring …. Circle the amount of the over ring … it is much easier for the person doing the deposit the next morning!!!

  8. Circ SA’sShelf Reading & Shelving • You will be given 2 or more pages of shelf reading each week • More pages are available if needed • Please put your name at the top and when finished turn in to a supervisor • Remember - A final check-in MUST be done before taking a truck upstairs to shelve

  9. Please remember……. • Under no circumstances are Student Assistants to check out or in their own materials! • Put your returns in one of the book-drops! • All laser prints are to be rung up by another student or a supervisor and paid for at that time – NO FREEBIES!

  10. Warning! • “Throwing” books over the glass at the security gate is NOT acceptable • No one should be “avoiding” the gate • Cell phones on your person while on duty is NOT acceptable • You can and will receive a verbal warning, a written warning and a final written warning. • Your third warning will lead to termination

Library Changes! • We have been weeding the entire collection over the summer and are still in the process. • If you cannot locate the requested material(s) please ask a supervisor or a senior SA for assistance. • Some material(s) have changed location so be sure to look it up in the card catalog.
