  2. Listening • Students listen to the teacher & to each other speaking in Spanish everyday: Discussions, going over homework, presentations… • They also listen to music, taped dialogs & exercises, movies, etc.

  3. Writing • Students write journal entries, and the major grammatical problems are discussed in class before the next journal entry. • Students make corrections to their entries. • They write funny stories using picture sequences. • They write 5 minute dialogues.

  4. Speaking • Students speak Spanish everyday in class. (85%) • They act out dialogues abouteveryday situations. • Students chat at “En el Café” with guided conversations.

  5. Reading • Students will read short stories from Hispanic and Spanish writes. We will read them in class to practice their fluency and pronunciation. • They will use different techniques to read for understanding. We will discuss the stories with comprehension questions.

  6. Culture Students will be exposed to the Spanish culture through pictures, movies, music, art work, etc. They will also read newspaper articles from a variety of Spanish speaking countries. Make Spanish food.
