Aims of Seminar 24th April 2007 Targets: • Showcase developments in unstructured Information processing (e.g. examples and projects from TextInfo, Autonomy, Business Objects + Google, SAS, Collexis, TCS etc.) • Illustrate the increasing domain of Business Intelligence (e.g. Competitive Intelligence, Marketing Intelligence) and the need for Enterprise Information Management, as well as impact on organization effectivity, efficiency. • Show examples of specific Business Intelligence projects in these domains that have been executed by companies • Increase the awareness of organizations on feasibility of projects • Initiate projects within this scope with organizations - providers and knowledge centers (HanzeHogeschool M&M/IDM, BI Kring)

  3. Who is …. • Lecorate Business Intelligence Hanzehogeschool • Research & Education group in School of Communication and Media aiming at knowledge circulation on Business Intelligence. Research Group of 4 researchers, 8 affiliate companies, curriculum development, Masterclasses, MBA and BSc courses. Lector Andries Bottema • BI kring • The Dutch Business Intelligence Community • Mission is to contribute to professionalization of BI by facilitate both real and virtual meetings between professionals from research, education, industry, business and consultants. • The BI-kring has 1700+ registred members • The website www.BI-kring.nl is visited by more than 12000 unique visitors. • BI kring realized already 11 seminars and congresses about different topics in the field of BI.

Business model • Beide events (24 en 26 april) voeren een gezamenlijke begroting/budget • Bijdrage Hanzehogeschool (stelpost 3-5 K) wordt in principe aangewend om bezoekers uit drie Noordelijke provincies gratis toegang te verlenen. • Wanneer na aftrek van alle kosten een positief saldo resteert wordt dit 50-50 onder Hanzehogeschool en BI-kring verdeeld. • Er wordt een gezamenlijke inspanning gedaan om sponsoren voor het combinatie event te werven. • BI-kring voert administratie omtrent inschrijving, uitnodiging, communicatie, promotie, facturatie etc.
