  1. BOGOF… • Today you’re in luck – I’m going to give you two tips for the price of one… • Two problems that can be solved by the same, one solution! QR Tag Insights

  2. Two problems • My problem • Keeping documentation up to date • Licences • Specifications • Quotations

  3. First of my problem… Like most businesses we have lots of documentation. And often that documentation is sent out to clients or other third parties. The problem is that once the document leaves our control, we have no way of ensuring that the client or end user is referring to the latest or up to date copy. Clients license software from us, but as we go through the negotiation process, those documents can go through a number of iterations. How do you ensure that the client is using a valid version? Version numbers can help, but the client doesn’t know that whether the version they’re looking at is the latest. Similarly for specifications and quotations and with quotations hanging around you can be giving a hostage to fortune... The solution? - Footer Text

  4. Solution Use a suitable QR management system for document management. Embed a QR code in the document, and with the QR Management system, set up a small web-page that contains the version/validation history.

  5. Solution The user here has scanned the QR Code with their mobile phone (or could be a tablet, iPadetc), and is immediately able to see the current status of the document.

  6. Updating • WYSIWYG editor… Updating the information is simply a matter of using the QYSIWYG editor (uniquely available from QR Tag Insights), just as you would edit a Word document.

  7. Second problem • My Client’s problem • His clients were asking for QR codes • My client wanted to be able to provide QR solutions to his clients • He didn’t know where to find a solution that he could re-sell Our second problem is an issue that one or our clients brought to us. Using our QR Management system (QR Tag Insights) enables our client to set up separate accounts for each of his clients.

  8. Solution • Using our hosted, QR Code management system Our client was able to set up separate groups for each of his clients. See the treenodes under ‘Clients’. If he wishes to he can also set up user accounts within them so that the client can manage their own QR codes.

  9. Reports Reporting on QR useage is available both to our client, and at their own level to his clients too. Graph type reports show frequency of hits/scans on a date basis.

  10. By QR Code You can also report by individual QR Code. And drilling down will give you…

  11. Scan locations Geo-location information – where the user has given consent. This shows when and where (often within a few metres) the code was scanned.

  12. Solutions QR Tag Insights Releasing the power of QR This is the one solution to our two problems… and to many more! 12

  13. BOGOF… QR Tag Insights • 2 for 1 • 2 problems • 1 solution QR Tag Insights

  14. In case you wondered • QR was anticipated by the Romans…

  15. In Japan… So popular in Japan that peoples’ faces have evolved into QR codes

  16. Really?!... Well maybe not this big, but people are beginning to use QR codes on tomb-stones and memorials. It means that visitors can access life stories, pictures, videos – in fact any content you might like to prepare to help people know more about the person.

  17. QR Management • Some uses for QR • Estate agents • Shop windows • Advertisements • Printed material – catalogues, resources, books • Information boards – museums, galleries, outside, organisations, maps • Document management • User validation • Product information • Ticketing, passes, conference badges • Pubs, bars, restaurants - menus • Scavenger hunts • Instruction manuals • Links to social media – Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc • Luggage labelling • As we are a software development company, we are always interested in talking about new possibilities. • If you have a brain-wave come and talk to us! We might be able to make it into reality.
