Qwest Teachers & Technology Grants 2010: Encouraging Classroom Innovation

Qwest Teachers & Technology Grants 2010 program aims to encourage PreK-12 teachers in eligible Colorado school districts to integrate technology in innovative ways to enhance student achievement. Grants of approximately $5,000 will be awarded directly to teachers or team leaders who demonstrate goals, impact on school and community, and innovative curriculum enhancements.   2. Purpose of Grants Encourage PreK-12 teachers to integrate technology into classroom curriculum in innovative ways to improve student achievement

  3. Eligibility • Must teach in an eligible Colorado school district (list at : Eligible Districts 2010 Charter schools are eligible • PreK-12 classroom teachers who spend at least 50 percent time in the classroom • At least three years of classroom teaching experience • Previous Qwest Teachers & Technology awardees are not eligible

  4. Award Information • Average grants are approximately $5,000 • Funds will be granted directly to the teacher or team leader

  5. Narrativebe sure to include: • Goals & objectives • Impact on school and community • Innovative ways to improve / enhance curriculum • Improve student achievement

  6. Budget Narrative • Explain the research behind the numbers

  7. Budgetbe sure to include: • Sustainability plan including regular maintenance and updates / upgrades • Installation

  8. Grant Narrative…Remember to: • Show your passion and personality • Follow the Guidelines • Proofread the text • Have someone read your proposal for accuracy and purpose
