  3. Activating Prior Knowledge: • Are you familiar with the story of the Mayflower? • In “Early America” we learned the reasons that people first came to America. What are they?

  4. Many of the Pilgrims suffered discomfort on the ship to America. What are some of those…? • seasickness • unable to shower or bathe • no toilets • no fresh food
